GridSense offers meters in Class 0.2S, Class 0.5S and Class 1 per IEC 62053-22 for active energy, and Class 2 per IEC 62053-23 for reactive energy. Revenue-grade Class 0.2S models are suitable for direct utility billing applications and pass OIML R46 calibration requirements.

Yes. GridSense EMS is available in three deployment modes: cloud-hosted SaaS, on-premise server installation, and a hybrid edge-cloud architecture where field devices retain local data autonomy while pushing aggregated analytics to our cloud dashboard. Data sovereignty configurations are available for regulated industries.

Our meters support Modbus RTU (RS-485), Modbus TCP/IP (Ethernet), BACnet MS/TP, BACnet/IP, PROFIBUS DP, IEC 61850 GOOSE/MMS, and pulse output (S0). DLMS/COSEM is available on utility-grade models. Our IoT gateway products additionally support MQTT, OPC-UA and DNP3 for SCADA integration.

Passive PFC uses fixed capacitor banks with detuned reactors to compensate reactive power at fundamental frequency. It is cost-effective for stable, predictable loads but cannot address harmonic distortion. Active PFC employs IGBTs to inject counter-harmonics in real time, achieving PF > 0.99 and THD < 3% โ€” essential for non-linear loads such as VFDs, UPS systems and LED drivers in data centers.
