We started with a single question: why do industrial facilities waste 15โ30% of the electricity they pay for? The answer was always the same โ no visibility. We built GridSense to fix that.
GridSense was founded in 2005 by a team of electrical engineers who had spent years specifying energy metering systems for industrial clients and were frustrated by the gap between expensive hardware and actionable insight. The first GridSense energy meter shipped to a steel mill in Poland โ and saved the facility $80,000 in its first year by identifying a rogue compressor that was running 24/7 at partial load.
Today our portfolio covers the full energy monitoring stack: revenue-grade meters (Class 0.2S to Class 1), power quality analyzers, active PFC systems, submetering controllers and our cloud-edge EMS platform used by over 2,400 facilities in 48 countries.
We hold ISO 9001:2015 quality certification, ISO 14001:2015 environmental certification, CE Marking (LVD 2014/35/EU), UL Listing for North American markets, CCC for China, and IEC 62053 type approval for all metering products. Our in-house calibration laboratory is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025.
